Guide for Ensuring a Smooth Transition from Elementary to Secondary School

The purpose of this guide is to provide people in the education and health and social services systems with information about the nature of a smooth transition, thus allowing them to analyze, improve and implement measures aimed at meeting students’ needs with respect to their transition from elementary to secondary school. Several studies agree that the transition from elementary to secondary school has an impact on student success and 
retention.
